Dear Students,
Please read this email carefully because your participation in the
"assassin" game may result in consequences you can avoid.
As many of you already know, the game "assassin" involves teams of people
engaging in any number of destructive and generally immature behaviors to
"eliminate" members of other teams through a variety of "hits." If you are
"hitting" or being "hit," you have likely chosen to participate in the
game. If these "hits" occur on the way to school, during school hours, or
on the way home, you stand to receive serious consequences.
We are putting in place a firm consequence for participation in this game
because it is disruptive and unsafe.
We will be issuing *one-day suspensions to those who participate in
assassin on their way to, during, or going home from school*. This includes
threatening to "hit" others, running away because you are in the game and
targeted by an assassin, or entering classes looking for targets. *You may
be issued a five-day suspension* and be required to pay damages if your
actions cause destruction of property or you throw things at another person.
Seniors - Please make good decisions and don’t jeopardize your opportunity
to participate in the celebrations and activities you've worked so hard to
be a part of!
Thanks for your attention in this matter.
Mr. Pasarow
