The next meeting of the BHS Safety Committee will be this Tuesday, April 26
from 4:30-6:00 pm in H104.

At the April 26th meeting, Toni Stein (*tweil at igc.org <tweil at igc.org>*) is
recruiting volunteers (parents, staff, and students) for a working group
to help with a future BHS “walk through” inspection to ensure BHS
classrooms and school areas are healthy and safe. Future meeting times for
this working group will be determined based on participants schedules and
will be intended to work flexibly around all participants interested in
helping.

Topics of interest include:

- Assess if classrooms and school areas are safe and in “good repair”

- Identify and eliminate possible school safety hazards (i.e. slipping,
heat and ventilation, waste, toxics, etc.)

- Assess and improve emergency preparedness protocols

- Assess and improve BHS recycling and hazardous waste management

The Safety Committee is a sub-committee of the School Site Council and
meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 4:30-6pm in the H Building
Room H104, the On Campus Intervention (OCI) office. The Safety Committee
is looking for additional parents and students who are interested in safety
issues to join the Committee.

Thank you,

BHS Safety Committee
