At the annual Black Scholars Celebration last night, the students in 
these photos represented over 200 Berkeley High students who earned a 
3.0 GPA or greater in the first semester. Superintendent Donald Evans 
and board member Karen Hemphill joined the proud parents in honoring 
these hard working students.The annual program is put on by the African 
American Studies Department, under the leadership of Naomi 
Washington-Diouf and Administrator Ardarius McDonald.
