Black History Month Ends on a High Note!
Last week's Black History Month question was: In 1972, Shirley Chisholm became the first African American to make a formal bid for the US presidency. Who was the second? The answer is not Barack Obama. It is Rev. Jesse Jackson, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984.
For the last four weeks, students and staff have been celebrating the achievements of African American scholars, leaders, activists, artists, and game-changers. Join us today on the senior steps for the last lunchtime music mix hosted by the BSU and the African American Studies Department. BHS alum CJ Flash will be in the mix.
