I was able to catch the closing night performance of Berkeley High's
rendition of the contemporary musical, See Rock City and Other
Destinations. I understand that all four performances were as
outstanding as last night's. The show was directed by BHS alumni Simon
Trumble, who had four strong years on the Berkeley High stage. As a
student he directed Chorus Line in 2005. Musical Director Phil Gorman
did an excellent job with some of BHS's finest musicians, who were the
background of the show's creative staging in this production. As Simon
told the audience, that in this show, all actors on stage really played
leading roles, which was one of the reason he wanted to direct this
show. See it for yourself in these photos and video.
