*High School African Haitian Dance Program*

The Berkeley High School African Haitian Dance Program continues the
tradition of its annual winter dance concert by presenting “Power Within"
on Thursday, December 17th, in the BERKELEY HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY THEATRE
at 7 PM. Tickets prices are Reserved - $12, General - $8,
Students/Seniors/Children - $5 and available online at brownpapertickets.com.
Bring a wrapped toy and receive a discount!

*Pad & Tampon Drive*

This is the last week for the pad and tampon drive. Help support Bay Area
women in need by donating extra pads and tampons or full boxes. Donation
stations are located in the C gallery and bathrooms. All supplies collected
will go to local women's shelters. The drive ends this Friday. For more

*Modified Schedule for Sexual Harassment Mini Lessons*

Tuesday Dec. 15th will be another special day of learning for students. We
have asked all teachers to present a short power point slide show to their
period 2 classes on the serious topics of Sexual Harassment, Battery,
Assault, and consent. We have a modified schedule with shortened periods of
45 minutes:

Families were given information about this presentation last week, in
addition to information about how to have their students opt out of the
presentation. Students who are 18 may also opt out. To opt out please send
a email or a bring a written note to Jana Jandra in the front office,
janajandra at berkeley.net.

Students if you have questions that don’t get answered in class about
sexual harassment, battery, or assault, OCI will be open at lunch for you
tomorrow. Please come for a good discussion and answers to your questions.

Students who need to report sexual harassment need to feel safe and heard.
Thank you students and teachers in one of our efforts to make BHS a safer
space.
