Berkeley High Holiday Dinner for the Homeless 2015

It's that time of year again, and Berkeley High's annual holiday dinner on Saturday was a big success. What begins with weeks of fundraising and collection of food and clothing ends up with 200 cooks and volunteers on Friday and Saturday, to feed the hundreds of people who come to Berkeley High for this very special event. Students receive donations of food at the curb from community members and alumni families, many who make an annual family project of preparing a whole meal. Volunteers bake pies, cook food, make salads, cut turkeys and hams, while others make decorations and get the room ready. Top that with fun holiday music by Berkeley High orchestra students and you end up with a great holiday feast. The food was wonderful. Check out photos and video of Friday and Saturday.
