Announcements are put together in the BHS Main Office. For those of you

1.*National Society of Black Engineers Junior Chapter*is starting at
Berkeley High. Interested students should see Mr. Byndloss at lunch or
after school.

2 *.Truth Telling Project Presents the Night of a Thousand
Conversations*- Are you concerned about race relations and the
relationship between police and people of color at BHS and in our
communities? If so, you are invited to participate in a national event
this Saturday in the BHS Library from 2:30-5pm. Live streaming of
testimony of African-American victims of police violence will be coming
straight out of Ferguson to be followed by conversation and action
planning circles with those who watched in the Library. Michael Brown's
father and Fania Davis will speak, among others. Come share your truth,
deepen your understanding of this important issue, and plan action for
change in our community.
3. Spoken word artists, singer-songwriters, storytellers, singers and
rappers take note... Berkeley High has a professional-level*sound studio
available* for your use for free! The *Rick Ayers Sound Studio* is
located on the fourth floor of the C-building and it is open Monday
through Thursday after school. Check your school email for details.
*JAZZ ENSEMBLE VOCAL AUDITIONS:*
Here is the correct info about *vocal auditions to work with the BHS
Jazz Ensemble*. For the first round of auditions, please send Ms. Cline
a video of yourself singing a jazz song that you love. Sing the melody
AND a scat solo. You can sing with a taped accompaniment, accompany
yourself, get a friend to accompany you, or sing a cappella. Please
email the video to sarahcline at berkeley.net

Due to the events of last Thursday, the *Berkeley High Radio Show*
will now be having its first show this Thursday, November 12th. Tune in
to hear a discussion with the Presidents of the Black Student Union, as
well as great music and live performances! The show will be live at
lunchtime. Ask your teachers to play the show on their computers by
going to bhsradio.com <http://bhsradio.com> and clicking "Listen Live!".
