Hello Fellow Yellow Jackets!
Unity Week is almost here. There will be a series of theme dress-up days
and lunchtime activities during the week of October 26 - 30. Please
visit the leadership website to see the theme days and to encourage your
student to participate in at least one of them...

Unity Week will feature Students vs Staff competitions that will help to
award the Unity Week Champion trophy to either group. This trophy is
awarded to the BHS student body or staff for their ability to come
together to demonstrate Jacket Pride and be united as one big, red &
gold family.
Students vs Staff activity sign-ups will take place at lunch on the
Community Theater Steps (BCT Steps) this week, Oct 19-23.
*Monday is Pajama Day*- Jam out in your Jammies. There will be a lunch
games and trivia, and basketball afterschool
*Tuesday is Hippie Day*– Keep Calm & Tie Dye on, There will be face
paint, bubbles, and hula hooping as well as competitive chess in M110
and table tennis in the Jacket Gym.
*Wednesday is Safari Day*– Celebrate your inner spirit animal. There
will be an animal scavenger hunt, as well as the first annual BHS
Iron-Chef cook-off. Also on the steps will be a Dance Off between
students and staff.
*Thursday is Decades Day*– Celebrate the iconic fashion styles of the
past, 80’s or 90’s. Come play in games at lunch such as the Karaoke
Sing-Off and then Staff vs Students dodgeball in the Jacket gym.
*Friday is “Uni-Team” Day*– Wear your favorite BHS uniform or other team
jersey. And finally, there will be games and a relay race between
students and staff as well as other games happening at lunch on the
campus green.
We hope that you will dress up, participate in the Staff vs. Student
competitions, and have a good time, all in the effort to bring our
Berkeley High community closer together. This is /_Unity Week_/, a time
to bring us closer together to celebrate our awesome school and
community. It is also the end of the quarter so remember to handle all
of your business while having fun…
