[BHS Etree] SPORTS: Reminder - Winter Sports Packet Clearing and Tryout Information

*Athletic Packet Clearing by November 6 (Fri), less than three weeks away!*



Clearing for athletic packets is available at lunch-time and after school
(3:30-5:00) on November 4 (Wed) and November 5 (Thu).  Although there is no
school on November 6 (Fri), clearing will also be available from 12-5.  All
clearing will take place in the Athletic Director’s office, J207 (behind
the stadium bleachers).



*Tryouts start on November 9 (Mon)*



Thinking about playing a *Winter Sport*? Get your athletic packet and make
sure you have an up-to-date physical (medical clearance from you doctor
within the year) or schedule an appointment with your physician now!



If you already cleared a packet, or played a fall sport, all you need for
tryouts is a Gold Card from the AD office that says “Cleared for Winter
Sports”. If you do not have the card but you turned in the packet already
THIS school year, come to J207 during the dates listed above and get a
card. You will present the Gold Card to the coach at tryouts.



Athletic Packets are available to pick up anytime, outside the Athletic
Director’s office, at the BHS Front Desk, or at
http://bhs.berkeleyschools.net/athletics/. All Athletic Packets for Winter
Sports will be collected *before* tryouts begin.



*Please remember that eligibility is based on your Semester 1 grades so
work hard to make sure those grades are at a 2.0 minimum GPA. If you need
any assistance, please:*

*- ask your teachers about tutoring, or *

*- check in with your counselors, or *

*- come by and see Athletic Academic Counselor, Xia Lee, in the Coaches’
room (J205) on Monday or Wednesday after school.*
