Hello BHS Community,
BHS Leadership would like to announce a really cool service event taking place all around Berkeley on Saturday, October 24. Mr. Villavicencio is going to host a Berkeley High group at one of the sites (TBD) and would like to invite more students to join...
Please follow the steps below in order to register before the deadline of THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9. Make sure to select "BHS Leadership" from the drop down menu.
For more info, please read the following:
The Berkeley Project is a completely student-run organization, and will be celebrating its 10th anniversary of citywide community service this fall. Every year, we recruit thousands of volunteers around Berkeley to participate in diverse community service projectsincluding gardening, cleaning up parks, painting schools, and much more! This large-scale event is open to anyone in the community who would like to devote one day of giving back to Berkeley.
For any high-school student interested in participating on BP Day, here are the next steps:
1. Each volunteer must register on our website at https://www.berkeleyproject.org/. The deadline to register as a volunteer is October 9.
2. Each participant must also fill out required forms. Both of these forms must be signed and completed by the parents of the student. Additionally, in order to participate, these forms must be brought to the BP Day event on October 24. Please note that on the "Authorization to Consent to Treatment of Minor" form, it should be written that the authorizations remain effective until October 24, 2015. Email Mr. Villavicencio for these forms.
3. In the event that the designated site is far away, it may also be necessary for the students to pay for tickets to use the AC transit buses. However, we do have a reimbursement process.
Important Dates
