We are pleased to announce Coach Webb and Coach Haywood as new BHS
coaches. We are grateful to them for their dedication and willingness to
share their time and talents with Berkeley High Athletics!

*ANTUAN WEBB, BHS Strength and Conditioning Coach*

We are proud to introduce our new Strength and Conditioning Coach, Antuan
Webb. Mr. Webb has been working with the Berkeley High football team for
the past several months. We are excited that he will share his knowledge
and expertise with all of the Berkeley High School’s sports teams. With
many years of experience working with High School, College and Professional
Athletes, his knowledge will aid our athletes and Coaches into a better
program and play. Coach Webb says he is looking forward to working with
BHS athletes and coaches to continue to develop strength and conditioning
programs to meet the specific goals of each team.

*RAYMOND L. HAYWOOD, BHS Boys Water Polo Coach*

Coach Haywood is a 1981 graduate of Berkeley High and played water polo and
swam for 4 years under Coaches Bill Gaebler and Bill Wilson. He went on to
play water polo for four years at UCSD as a walk-on under the legendary
coach Denny Harper, and to swim for four years under Coach Bill Hamilton.
He played on a traveling all-stars team and played and traveled
throughout Australia and New Zealand. He is a life-long swimmer, yoga
enthusiast, cyclist and gifted carpenter. He earned a BFA in painting
from UCSD and an MFA in painting from San Francisco State in 2003. He has
worked as a fine art painter for the last 30 years. He is an active member
of Red Umbrellas, a group of professional artists that show in San
Francisco several times a week. He is planning to pursue a P.E. credential
from Cal State East Bay.

He looks forward to sharing his love of the game with the students, and
building a community of discipline, leadership, camaraderie and team
spirit. Water Polo is an ever-evolving game that thrives with a balance of
structured practices, skill development and scrimmages, official games and
tournaments.
