EVENTS
African American Spring Dance Concert
Berkeley High School African American Studies Department continues the
tradition of its spring dance concert by presenting " FREEDOM TO BE, CHOOSE
OR DO...". The evening is sure to delight, surprise, and engage the audience
with performance of traditional African, Aztec, Haitian, Mexican, Ethiopian,
Chinese and Nepalese dance as well as more contemporary fare. Pieces have
been choreographed by both teachers and students, this is not a performance
to miss! Support the arts and students as they breathe life into dance and
bring insights into who they are and some journeys and challenges they have
embarked on and been confronted with this year. The concert is Friday, MAY
15th, 2015 at 7 PM in the BHS Community Theater.
BHS Film Festival - Satori
Please join us for the first-annual BHS Film Festival, Satori. It will be on
May 6th from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Little Theater. We'll be viewing short
videos produced by students from CAS and all other BHS learning communities.
Expect an evening of creative, skillfully-produced videos that express
student perspectives on a wide range of topics and genres. Suitable for ages
13 and older. Tickets are cash only, $3 for BUSD students, $5 for everyone
who wishes they were one.
Health & Wellness Fair
Students, encourage your teachers to bring your class to the Health Center's
12th Annual Health & Wellness Fair, Friday, May 15th. Join us on the outdoor
basketball courts 1st through 6th period to play games, meet community
health workers and learn about healh and wellness issues that effect you.
SENIORS
Grad List
Please check the 2015 potential grad list posted in the counseling
department and College & Career Center. If you find any discrepancies please
see Ms. Mellion in the Registrar's Office at lunchtime or after school.
LEADERSHIP
Nepal Relief
Sophomore Class leadership is having a sale in the C-Gallery at lunch, on
Tuesday, May 5th to raise money for Nepal. All proceeds will be donated to
organizations doing relief work in Nepal.
Fundraising for Nepal
Want your Henna done? Come to the Campus Green during lunch on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Friday! All proceeds go to the Earthquake Emergency Fund for
Nepal. Come out and support!
