ADMINISTRATION
AP Exams: Sixty-one students have registered for this year's AP exams. That
leaves hundreds who have not signed up. Do not wait until the last days of
the registration period when the computer is slow due to the increase of
traffic. All registration is online at www.TotalRegistration,net/AP/050290.
After March 21, there will be a $10 late fee per test and all registration
will end on March 25.
EVENTS
1. The Berkeley Youth Commission is sponsoring a Job Fair March 7th at YAP
Park and Community Center. It's a great way to find a job and make some
money.
2. This week is the last week for the 3rd annual "Boxes, Bags, and Bins of
Books" Drive organized by student Hannah Wells. Donate books to help
libraries at multiple Oakland public schools. Berkeley school libraries are
well funded and stocked, but many Oakland school could use our help. All
books are welcome (Pre-K thru grade 12 preferred). Books in Spanish are also
welcome. Drop books off in the designated bin by the front office. Contact
hannahwells at students.berkeley.net for more info.
3. Get your tickets to hear the Berkeley High Jazz Ensemble in concert at
Yoshi's March 16th. The 7 p.m. show will feature Combo A, newly back from
winning top honors at the Charles Mingus Jazz Festival in New York, as well
as the big band. The 9 p.m. show will feature the wonderful BHS combo B, and
the Jazz Ensemble playing an all Latin dance set. Tickets are available
