What: Students Rising Above Informational Meeting
When: March 11 @ lunch period . Bring your lunch right after 3rd period. *

*Where: Library- alcove/back corner*


*Students Rising Above* is a comprehensive year-round program that 
provides college readiness support, tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, paid 
summer internships and more.  Students are selected during their junior 
year of high school and work with a professional SRA Advisor and a 
volunteer adult mentor for five-plus years.

*Qualified students will meet the following criteria:*

  * High School *JUNIOR* (who will graduate from high school in Spring 2016)
  * From a low-income family
  * Demonstrated strength of character in overcoming obstacles not of
    his/her own making
  * Committed to earning a four-year college degree
  * Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  * Highly recommended by a teacher, counselor, or mentor
  * Willing to share personal story
  * Live within the nine-county Bay Area
