On Wednesday, Jan 28, from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the College and Career
Center, Dr. Fran Wickner will present a workshop on *Teen Drug and
Alcohol Prevention.*
Talking with your teen is one of the best ways to prevent alcohol and
drug abuse and is one of the most important steps in helping your teen
stay healthy. This workshop will offer ideas on how to approach the
topic with your teenager, giving you tools for developing what to say
and how to say it. You will also leave with a checklist on how to detect
abuse problems. Your teen is welcome to attend!
Fran Wickner, Ph.D., MFT has been a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist since 1983 and has had a local psychotherapy practice working
with the BHS community for the past 25 years. She sees individuals,
couples, families and adolescents and specializes in addictions, stress,
relationship issues, transitions, divorce, anxiety and depression. Dr.
Wickner has been an Adjunct Professor in both Masters and Doctoral
Psychology Programs as well as a consultant and supervisor for
therapists. Her website, www.franwickner.com
<http://www.franwickner.com/>, has more information about her practice.
Hope to see you then!
