BHS PARENT RESOURCE/SUPPORT GROUP - FREE.

COMMUNICATING WITH OUR TEENS ABOUT ALCOHOL AND MARIJUANA - RE-STARTING
JANUARY 21ST

. 1st TUESDAY EVENING OF THE MONTH: 6:45-8:30 PM

. 3rd WEDNESDAY MORNING OF THE MONTH: 8-9:30 AM

BHS - PARENT RESOURCE CENTER - Room D-224

(2nd Floor Main Building - use Allston and Milvia entrance)

We offer a safe space to talk about our own issues as parents, to listen to
each other and gain information, different perspectives and tools for
navigating our teen's choices and experiences in alcohol and drug use.

What is our responsibility as parents? How do we set limits and communicate
with love and caring?

Facilitators: Karen Hughes is a former BHS parent and alcohol prevention
specialist at UC Berkeley Health Center who brings energy and tools for
supporting ourselves as parents of teens.

Ashley Reynolds is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Berkeley who
specializes in Alcohol and other Drug concerns and tools to build closeness
and connection with our children.

This is a drop in group and open to anyone concerned about alcohol/drug
issues with their BHS student or the student community. Please try to arrive
on time.

For more information contact Karen Hughes at khughes at berkeley.edu
