Hello Parents!

Do you miss the days when you could volunteer in the classroom?  Do you 
wish you could sneak a peek into the school day?  Well, here’s your chance:

*WriterCoach Connection* is working with Dana West’s sophomore English 
classes, and they need more coaches. WriterCoach Connection will train 
you to work one-on-one with students on their writing. With enough 
volunteers, WCC volunteer coaches go into the classroom during the 
school day to work with students on their assignment. Over the course of 
the single class time, EVERY student meets one on one with a coach.

•Benefits for the Teacher: EVERY student gets feedback and support from 
a trained coach.

•Benefits for the Student: One on one support from a trained coach.

•Benefits for You:  Insight into the classroom; insight into 
assignments; training in how to respond to writing, and how to support a 
writer in the writing process; beefing up your own writing/organization 
skills!
