[BHS Etree] ATHLETICS: How is BAF Helping Student-Athletes?

Do you know that the BAF General Fund provides the Athletic Dept and its
teams with monies to fund stipends for > 10 coaches, an admin asst and
weight room coach, equipment and uniforms, safety initiatives like the
defibrillators (AEDs) and CPR/First Aid training for coaches, and the
Athlete Study Center?

 

Put our next BAF meeting--Monday, December 8th at 7 pm in the school
library--on your calendar.  Our guest speaker is our Associate Athletic
Director Andy Waranoff, who runs the Athlete Study Center, providing
academic support for our student-athletes.  

 

He will discuss what the program provides, and the improvement in academic
performance and confidence that has occurred in our student-athletes since
the inception of the program in January of 2014.

 

We are THANKFUL for the opportunities that BHS Athletics provides our BHS
students.  But we need your help to continue to maintain these
opportunities.  Please mail in your donation today or go to
berkeleyathleticfund.net to donate online.  

 

And don't buy all of your gifts this weekend--remember the BAF Holiday
Shopping Weekend Dec 13-14 at the new Berkeley Sports Basement, where a
simple utterance of "BHS or BAF" at the register will get you 10% off your
purchase, and 10% direct to BAF.

 

One more thing...remind friends and families to park at our BHS parking lots
this Saturday for the Cal vs. BYU football game and support BAF and its
teams.
