Hello Jacket Fans,
BHS Leadership is pleased to announce the following events for the next
two weeks:
_Wed. 9/17 - Red Cross Blood Drive_
Students who are at least 16 years old may donate blood with each pint
of blood saving 3 lives. There are certain height/weight limitations, so
please read the eligibility requirements on the "Donate Blood" section
of redcross.org <http://redcross.org>Students who are 16 years old must
get signed parental consent. Stop by the Red Cross table at lunch to
sign up. BHS Staff and student walk-ins are welcome.
_Thur. 9/18 Back to School Night_
We welcome all families of students to attend the BHS Back to School
Night on Thursday, 9/18 at 7:00pm. Each family will be able to walk
through their students' schedule and meet with their classroom teachers
in 10-minute periods. We will also have a gathering of after-school
programs and service organizations in the school cafeteria for the
entire evening. PLEASE print out your students schedule from PowerSchool
or ask them to write it down or send you a photo of it in order to save
paper.
_The Student Club List is Now Public_
Please visit the "Student" tab at bhs.berkeleyschools.net
<http://bhs.berkeleyschools.net> in order to view the club list. Your
students can now start talking directly to faculty sponsors and student
leaders about joining those clubs.
_Fri. 9/26 The HIVE is Buzzing!_
Friday, Sept. 26, we are expecting the arrival of the HIVE, cheering
section for the first home football game of the season. Bring out your
GOLD tops or purchase a HIVE t-shirt at the game to support the Yellow
Jackets!
_ASB Stickers are Still on Sale_
If your student is interested in purchasing a yearbook this year,
consider purchasing a GOLD level ASB sticker (Associated Student Body =
Student Leadership) for $100. The GOLD level gives them a yearbook, free
entry to all home games, a free t-shirt, and discounts to events like
school dances. The RED level is $40 and allows students to enter games
for $1, to receive a $10 discount on a yearbook, a free t-shirt, and
also for discounts to events like school dances. Checks are payable to
"BHS ASB" and can be brought to the Mr. V in the Leadership Office at
anytime.
GO JACKETS!
