The Y-Scholars Program at the YMCA-PG&E Teen Center just opened up a few
more spots for current freshman. Students who would like to get academic and
social support for the next 4 years are encouraged to apply.
Pick up an application at the Teen Center, just across from Berkeley High.
The application can also be downloaded at register.yscholars.org.
If you have any detailed questions, please contact Jose Herrera Cruz,

Students who are already enrolled in the program, dont forget about your
9th Grade Orientation Tuesday, September 9 at 7 PM
10th Grade Orientation Wednesday, September 10 at 7 PM
11th Grade Orientation Thursday, September 11 at 7 PM
12th Grade Orientation Friday, September 12 at 7 PM
The Y-Scholars Program is a free after-school program that provides skills
and self-confidence to succeed in high school and to apply to college. The
program links first generation college-bound and low-income students to
mentors, tutors, and counselors who provide individual attention tailored to
students specific needs.
