Parents of Children of African Descent (PCAD) led Berkeley's first Malcolm X
Day March in recent memory, for Equity in Education. The march went from the
Cal campus (Oxford Street), down University Avenue to the Berkeley Unified
School District Office. The group of 75 to 100 marchers were joined by three
city council members, three school board members, Superintendent Evans and
the principal of Berkeley Technology Academy (BTA).
