PLEASE do not reply to this email, contact Berkeley High librarian Ellie
Goldstein elliegoldstein at berkeley.net.
The library is sponsoring a holocaust survivor, Dora Sorell, speaking at
school on Thursday, March 6, for 2nd and 3rd periods in the Little Theater.
To help seat the students quickly and provide additional adult presence, we
are asking for parent/community volunteers. We will gather first in the
library and then walk to the theater. Unfortunately we cannot provide
parking permits. The volunteers will meet the students by teacher/class
outside the theater and walk them to their seating areas. We will provide a
map of the theater with the teachers' seating areas identified. We are using
the main floor and possibly the balcony.
The time commitment is a little more than 2 hours, from 9:30 am until 11:40
am. We ask the volunteers to stay until the end of the program. Please
contact me at my school email: elliegoldstein at berkeley.net. We can probably
use up to 10 people, maybe more.
Thanks.
