*LEADERSHIP*

1. Winter Ball -Winter Ball is coming to Berkeley High on January 31. 
Winter Ball 2014 will be your best chance to show off those amazing 
dance moves. Tickets for the dance go on sale December 16th. Early bird 
and discounted tickets are $15. See you at the ball.


2. Holiday Meal - Isn't your closet kind of messy? Don't you think it's 
time to clean it out? Well, I think it's high time you organized it. 
Take your old clothes to the Leadership Office. Clothes will be given 
away during the Holiday Meal. Remember to donate canned food in the 
C-gallery, G/H breezeway or in the Leadership Office. Make sure to get 
donations in before the Holiday Meal this Saturday.


3. Junior Class Leadership -- Stop by the C-gallery at lunch today to 
grab some hot chocolate and Cup-of-Noodles and support Junior Class 
Leadership.


*EVENTS*

1. Black History Bowl - Students interested in attending the 5th Annual 
Dr. Carter G. Woodson Black History Bowl on February 22nd please see Mr. 
Walton to sign up.


2. Library Party - Do you like presents and cake? Well, you're in luck 
because your awesome librarians have both for you! Come to the FIRST 
EVER annual BHS Library Holiday Party next Wednesday, 12/18, after 
school. See you then! Don't miss it!


*SENIORS*

1. Private College Applications - Please come to the College and Career 
Center for support on the Common Application. The advisors and essay 
readers are available to help with the private college applications and 
supplemental essays. CCC hours are 8 AM - 4 PM.

CLUBS*


1. Stand Up to Cancer Club - The Stand Up to Cancer Club is selling 
peppermint bark holiday grams! Buy some for $2, it's delicious. The 
money is going to cancer research! You can find club members selling 
them at lunch and they will be delivered on Thursday the 19th.


2. Spoken Word Club - On Thursday, December 12th the Spoken Word Club is 
hosting the first poetry slam of the year. It's a poetry competition 
open for all BHS students to perform and share stories in a safe space 
and community, or cheer on their peers. This event is free and will be 
in Mr. Winer's room A203. Come show support and spread the word.


3. Junior Statesman of America - Are you interested in debate? Then join 
the Junior Statesmen of America! They meet every Friday in room C310 
during lunch.

4. Ski & Snowboard Club -- Go to C112 at lunch today for Berkeley High's 
Ski and Snowboard Club meeting. There will be food and information on an 
upcoming snow trip in January.
