*ADMINISTRATION*


1. Saturday School Reminder - If you're interested in attending Saturday 
School, please sign up in the Attendance Office. The next Saturday 
School will take place on Saturday Dec 14th.

*EVENTS*


1. Winter Ball - Get your dance shoes ready! Winter Ball will be at BHS 
on January 31st. Don't miss your chance to show off your killer dance 
moves. Tickets go on sale December 16th. Early bird and discounted 
tickets are $15.

2. Black History Bowl - Students interested in attending the 5th Annual 
Dr. Carter G. Woodson Black History Bowl, please see Mr. Walton in room 
A100 to sign up. This Event will take place February 22nd.

*CLUBS*


1. Junior Statesman of America - Are you interested in debate? Then join 
the Junior Statesmen of America! They meet every Friday in room C310 
during lunch.

2. Stand Up to Cancer Club - The Stand Up to Cancer Club is selling 
peppermint bark holiday grams! Buy some for $2. It's delicious. The 
money is going to cancer research! You can find club members selling 
them at lunch and they will be delivered on Thursday the 19th.

3. Green Team - Come support the BHS Green Team at lunch by stopping by 
their bake sale in commemoration of National Recycling Month! It will be 
taking place at the A gate and you will be given a free baked good of 
your choice.

4. Gay-Straight Alliance - Are you interested in learning about HIV/AIDS 
history as it relates to the LGBTQ Community? Come to the GSA this 
Wednesday at lunch in H102A. A guest speaker will tell you everything 
you've ever wanted to know about the subject.

LEADERSHIP*


1. Holiday Meal - Isn't your closet kind of messy? Don't you think it's 
time to clean it out? Well, I think it's high time you organized it. You 
should get those old clothes and take them to the Leadership Office. 
Clothes will be given away during the Holiday Meal. Also, don't forget 
to donate canned food in the C-gallery, G/H breezeway or in the 
Leadership Office. Make sure to get donations in before the Holiday Meal 
this Saturday, December 14.

*SPORTS*


1. Swimming and Diving - There will be a short informational meeting for 
students interested in being on the BHS swimming and diving team on 
Wednesday at lunch time at the Swimming Pool Bleachers.

*SENIORS

* 1. Community Fund Scholarship - Please come to the College and Career 
Center for support on the Common Application. The advisors and essay 
readers are available to help with the private college applications and 
supplemental essays. CCC hours are 8 AM - 4 PM.
