ADMINISTRATION

 

1. College Career Center - Registration is closed for the Princeton Review
Assessment for the mock combo SAT and ACT test. Check in for registered
students begins @ 8:30 AM on Saturday, December 7th. Please arrive no later
than 8:45 AM in order to start the test at 9 AM. Bring pencils, calculator
and snacks.

 

2. Library Holiday Party - Do you like cake? Presents? How about super party
fun times? Well, you're in luck because you're invited to the first ever BHS
Library Holiday Party! Join them on Wednesday December 18 from 3:30 to 4:30
for cake, drinks, and presents! All you have to do is show up, this is your
librarians' gift to you! See you on the 18th!

 

3. World AIDS Day - In the US, approximately one million people are living
with HIV and one in five, out of those million, do not know they have it.
Teachers, don't forget to bring your classes to the Berkeley High School
Annual World AIDS Day Commemoration this Friday, December 6th in the West
Gallery of the Community Theater during periods 1 through 3. Go learn about
the global impact of HIV and AIDS.

 

4. Grades - Students! Quarter 2 Progress Report Grades are due this Friday.
Have you turned in all your work? Monitor your grades and progress on
Powerschool. There are only 28 school days left till the end of the
semester! The time to focus is now.

 

 

CLUBS

 

1. Knitting Club - It's getting cold outside so bundle up! Make sure you are
prepared with your very own handmade accessories. Knitting Club offers
everything you need to create anything from a sentimental holiday gift to a
warm scarf to fight off the cold. Bring your food and head over to the
library on Friday at lunch. No experience needed.

 

2. Earphone English - Earphone English Club is today (Thursday) at lunch.
Come to Mr. Miller's room C128. They are reading a book titled Divergent.

 

3. Mountain Bike Team - Attention all students interested in the BHS
Mountain Bike Team! This Sunday there will be a mandatory bike check and
skills clinic. The meeting will be at Mike's Bikes on University and Oxford
at 10:30. In order to participate in the skills clinic all registration
forms must be filled out. Forms can be found on www.bhscycling.org
<http://www.bhscycling.org/> . If you need access to a bike or have any
questions please email Nick (his contact info is on the website).

 

4. Junior Statesman of America - Are you interested in debate? Then join the
Junior Statesmen of America! They meet every Friday in room C310 during
lunch.
