Good morning,

 

As some of your may have heard, there is a new state funding formula (LCFF)
for California's public schools that changes the way district and school
priorities are developed and funded.  Public input is a very important part
of this change. 

 

Therefore, you are invited to engage in the process of developing the first
Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) for Berkeley.  Please join us
for a community forum to discuss LCFF and LCAP: Tues., Dec. 3 at 7:00 pm at
LeConte Elementary (2241 Russell Street).  Childcare and Spanish translation
provided.  Do not miss the next opportunity to continue the dialogue about
priorities for our students and schools.

In addition, I unfortunately need to cancel my office hours for December due
to a conflict with my work and with the holidays.  My office hours in
January will occur on Saturday, January 11, at 1pm.
