[BHS Etree] ADMIN: Safety Update (latest)

Colleagues and Families:

BPD confirms that a suspicious package was reported and subsequently investigated for precautionary reasons closing Shattuck between Bancroft and Durant this afternoon.

Our School Resource Officer reports that technicians from BPD have ruled out any danger at this time and all traffic closures have been opened.

We deeply appreciate the adjustments parents made to divert some traffic off of Milvia during dismissal, and also appreciate staff's help in conveying the message to avoid these areas to students.

There was never an indication of any immediate threat to the campus, but we did not want students moving toward the area following dismissal.

Where student and campus safety are concerned we will always be unapologetically overcautious.
