If you are considering joining the Safety Committee this year or if you
want the big picture about how it functions, what it does, and how it
fits in to the rest of the school, we welcome you to this year's
training session on Tuesday afternoon, October 22, at 4:30 pm in H104.
Ardarius McDonald, Dean of Students, and Margit Roos-Collins, last
year's Chair, will provide the training for half an hour. Afterwards,
there will be time for questions and more in-depth discussion of the
committee and subcommittee work, focused on the interests of those
attending.
If you want to join a Safety subcommittee without attending the regular
committee meetings, you are welcome to do so. You will probably find
that even for subcommittee work, this training will help you understand
how to be effective and how all the parts of the committee's work fit
together over the course of a year.
