*STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN 9/16/13 *

*Admin*

*If you placed an order for BART tickets, they are in the Parent 
Resource Center ready for pick up. Please remember that students can 
only pick up Bart tickets DURING LUNCH TIME ONLY...no exceptions.

Juniors: Sign up for the PSAT this week at lunch and after school to 4 
p.m. at the Donahue Gym ticket window. The fee for the test is $20 
payable in cash, by check or money order payable to Berkeley High 
School. Juniors who receive free or reduced lunch pay $5. Sophomores 
will sign up next week (Sept. 23-27). The test is Oct. 19.

*There is a Fall PE Waiver Orientation meeting Wednesday the 18th at 
3:45pm in the Little Theater. The meeting is mandatory for all freshmen 
and students doing PE through the YMCA.

JAMRS and NCLB Military waivers are available in the front office.  If 
you do not want JAMRS to sell your personal information to the military 
fill out the blue JAMRS opt out form.  Juniors and Seniors, if you do 
not want Berkeley High School to give your information to the military 
as required by law, fill out the NCLB Military waiver.  Both JAMRS and 
NCLB Military waivers should be returned to the front office by October 1st.

*Found Phones! There was a white iphone with a cracked back glass found 
9/9 and an AT&T Sansung phone found 9/13. They are in OCI (H104).

*Students can to come to OCI to get their locker assignments before 
school, after school, or at lunch.

*Clubs & Activities*

Attention CHESS PLAYERS! Are you interested in chess and free 
refreshments? Come join the BHS Chess Club. Players of all abilities 
including beginners are welcome every Thursday after school in Portable 7.

Interested in getting your voice heard? Apply to be a Fall columnist for 
the Jacket! Pick up an application in C400 or on BHSJacket.com under

Want to join a unique club at Berkeley High? Then join the Muslim Youth 
Club on Fridays in room C106 at lunch.  All are welcome!

*Interested in joining a lunchtime guitar class Tuesday, Wednesday and 
Friday? See your counselor to sign up! The class is 2.5 units!

*SENIORS!*

Seniors ONLY! Free SAT Prep classes will be offered Tuesday and 
Thursdays in the College Career Center (D221) from 3:40 to 5:40 PM 
starting 9/17. Free ACT Prep classes will be offered Mondays and 
Wednesdays in the College Career Center (D221) from 3:40 to 5:40 PM 
starting 9/17. For more information go to D221.

*College Presentations for today, September 16th are as follows: 1st 
period: University of Pennsylvania, 3rd period: Whitman College, 4th 
period: Clark University, 6th Wheaton College.  Seniors may obtain 
permissions slips in the College Career Center.

SENIORS if you are planning to graduate early (in January) you MUST 
submit your "Petition To Graduate Early" form to the Registrar's Office 
by September 30th. You can get forms in Counseling and the Registrar's 
Office.
