Global Glimpse (http://www.globalglimpse.org/) is an incredible organization
based in San Francisco that exposes Juniors to a 3-week program in a foreign
country. The program allows students to familiarize themselves with the
culture, politics and history of the country they visit. This coming summer
we will be taking students to the Dominican Republic!

The trip costs about 4,500 dollars. Because Berkeley High School is a
partnership school, students receive an automatic 1,500 dollar scholarship.
Students may also qualify for additional scholarships based on family
income. In addition to scholarship money, we will meet with students
regularly to help them fundraise and prepare for their trip. Our goal is to
get at least 30-40 juniors to take advantage of this opportunity.

We will have a 10-minute informational meeting at the beginning of lunch on
Wednesday, September 11 in H207 (Rosa Guzman's classroom). Please also
encourage your juniors to come talk to either of us if they have questions
(Gideon is in H211).

Sincerely,

Rosa Guzman and Gideon Goldman

BHS Teachers
