Student registration is next week: 9th grade orientation and registration is on Monday; 10th is on Tuesday; 11th is on Wednesday; and 12th is on Thursday  Please see below for more details regarding the timing of registration as well as the forms needed. 
  
Counselors are unavailable to take drop in appointments or return calls until after the first two weeks of school as they are prioritizing scheduling new students and completing schedules for existing students.  Students may submit a schedule change request during next week's registration, after they pick up their schedule. Counselors will be review them in the order received. 

Schedule changes will only be considered for the following reasons: 1) A gap in the schedule; 2) Placement in the wrong level of a class (eg. Student should have Spanish 3/4, but was placed in 1/2); 3) A course is needed to fulfill high school graduation requirements; 4) Enrollment in an optional 1 unit, 1 day a week, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics Enhancement Lab.  **Students may not request schedule change for a period or teacher preference.

Student schedules are considered "official," once they have been picked up next week. The parent/student portal to view schedules will open on Friday, August 23. Students must attend all classes on the official schedule until a schedule change is delivered to them in their classroom.

Freshman Orientation/Registration in the Berkeley Community Theater
8:30 AM   Last Name  A to G
10:30 AM   Last Name  H to O
1:00 PM   Last Name  P to Z
Incoming freshmen should report to the Community Theater 15 minutes before the start time of their orientation. Each orientation assembly will begin promptly at the time shown.

Sophomores Tuesday, August 20 
Juniors   Wednesday, August 21 
Seniors Thursday, August 22 
Makeup Friday, August 23

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors will register in the Jacket Gym: 
8:30-10 am   Last names A to G; 
10:30–11:45    Last names H to O; 
1pm–2:30    Last names P to Z.

Registration doors closed from 11:45 to 1:00 for lunch each day
Required Forms

Emergency Cards All students must submit a completed emergency card on registration day.  An Emergency card is included in this letter. Emergency cards can be completed online at https://www.formstack.com/forms/?1527941-sEbZtLrzfg Emergency cards can are also available in the front office.

Health Center Release Form All new students should turn in a completed Health Center Release Form on registration day.  These forms will be mailed separately to new  students.

Free and Reduced Lunch Form All students must turn in a completed Free and Reduced Lunch Form on registration day or complete the form online. Information for online Free and Reduced lunch applications will be provided through the etree.

All Berkeley High School students will go through the following registration process:

Photo ID All students will have their picture taken for their student identification card.  Students should carry their identification cards at all times while on campus.

BHS Organizer Students will purchase the BHS Organizer for $4 (all students are required to have an organizer).

Locker Assignments Students will sign up for a locker. In order to secure a locker, students must bring a lock on the first day of school. Please contact David Luu with questions 644-8985.

Class Schedule  Students will pick up their class schedules.
