[BHS Etree] VOLUNTEERS: Final request for book room volunteers for last week of school

Thank you to all the volunteers who have signed up or completed a round of
duty in our book room . Because of you, we have not had the carts full to
overflowing with books or lines of frustrated students waiting to return
their text books.

However, Vaile Fujikawa, who runs the book room, emailed to remind everyone
of the changes in the book room return policy this year:

"In previous years returning textbooks in bins has resulted in lost and
damaged books, with no one to hold accountable for the loss or damage.
Turning books into a live person ensures that fees will be able to be
assessed in the future AND makes sure that next year students will have the
books they need."

If you can find a two hour slot in your busy lives next week, we could use
a few more volunteers, especially in the afternoon of the last two days of
school, Thursday and Friday, June 13-14. Please consider coming for a two
hour slot to help us collect and shelve textbooks.

Please email bhsoutreach at berkeley.net if you are available. Thank you to
the (almost 30!) book room volunteers so far.
