INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: If you are interested in environmental issues and
have some time this summer for some fun and meaningful work, this internship
is for YOU! The Victory Garden Foundation and City of Berkeley are seeking
FOUR inspired, passionate BERKELEY HIGH SCHOOL youth for an exciting summer
internship program. The program will include:
Hands-on restoration and gardening projects; field trips to inspiring
places; outdoor adventures; planning youth-driven events; training in
fundraising and leadership; finding and promoting inspiring climate
solutions projects; planning for the BHS 2013-14 Green Team.
INTERNSHIP DATES:
First meeting will be held on June 21st.
Students must be available for at least 5 weeks during the summer, 10-15
hours per week (weeks and hours are generally flexible!).
Students must complete at least 40 hours of work to be given full internship
credit.
OTHER PROJECT PARTNERS: City of Berkeley's Climate Action Coalition, 350 Bay
Area, Northern California Transition Town Initiative
