As you may know, the School Board has unanimously selected a finalist
candidate for the position of Superintendent.

The candidate, Dr. Donald Evans, comes with 26 years of experience in
California schools (San Diego, Oakland, East Palo Alto, Compton, and
Hayward).  He has been a teacher, a principal, an assistant superintendent
and a superintendent, and has an extensive record of working collaboratively
to bring strategies for success for all students.

The Board and consultants have conducted a thorough review of his skills,
experience, and references, and last week there was a site visit.  We hope
to have a final decision and announcement of appointment in May.

Como ustedes saben, la Mesa Directiva unánimemente ha seleccionado al
candidato finalista para la posición de Superintendente.

El candidato, Dr. Donald Evans, llega con 26 años de experiencia en las
escuelas de California (San Diego, Oakland, East Palo Alto, Compton, y
Hayward). Él ha sido maestro, director, superintendente adjunto y
superintendente, y cuenta con un amplio récord trabajando en colaboración
para traer estrategias para el éxito de todos los estudiantes.  

La Mesa Directiva y los consultores han realizado una revisión detallada de
sus destrezas, experiencia y referencias, y una visita a su establecimiento
ocurrió la semana pasada.  Esperamos tener una decisión final y el anuncio
de la selección en mayo.
