Event Date: Sunday April 21st 

Please join us! The Fair needs Freshman and Sophomore parents to run it! 

Best part: as a freshman or sophomore parent you will get a sneak peak at the Fair and for about 15 parents willing to be here EARLY, access to the Juniors only Workshop and Fair.

Volunteer positions open:  

Coordinator OPEN - Shadow the 2012 Fair Coordinator, Kathy Brown, and handle next year, 2014.  Job description: Meet monthly starting in Oct with capable BHS volunteer corps, get to know 2 college Counselors while putting on fair for 65+ Colleges and Universities all here on one day. One of most straight forward, easily funded events on campus, with nearly 650 students and parents expected this year! If you can do this, you know who you are: you like people, you're good at asking questions and fielding the same, you ideally have flexible work schedule so you can meet during school hours with our college counselors. Local sponsors - Position open, c'mon, you got to be good at selling BHS...and that is EASY!

Volunteer Marshalls - Need 2 to greet/send volunteers to tasks AM 8-12, PM 12-4 need to be kind, firm and very comfortable being bossy

FRIDAY College Ctr Setup/Cleanup - 1-3 people to help tidy and clear off shelving etc to setup for the College Admissions Officers' luncheon. Not glamorous, but tons of brownie points.

AM Setup - need 6 people 8:30 - 10 shift, 6 people for 9:30 to 12 noon - all aspects of setting up Fair, Case Study Workshops, Entry tables and Hospitality in CCCtr -early risers, coffee to be provided

Signage Posting - need 4 people. 9AM Volunteer coordinator will direct building perimeter signage posting, this is the neighborhoody fun stuff

11AM Workshop Entry table- need 6 more  Volunteers - work with Heather Loucks, Jeremy Thorner, Miwako Nishizawa - scanning IDs, sending students/parents to assigned rooms

1:15 Fair Entry table - need 6 more Volunteers - Francois Jeanneau + 5 work with Angela Price and Skyler Barton (our two college Counselors) shift 12:45 - 4pm. Manage swiping scanner guns, laptop use for Power School verification etc. 

GREETERS - 6 total - 2 shifts (AM/PM) of parent volunteers are stationed outside the Kittredge Breezeway and inside the Breezeway to assist with traffic, helping get materials and hospitality items to the Rep's luncheon location in CCC etc.

End of Event - 3 needed  Volunteers to help take down our luncheon, the fair tables and any Entry decorations. Possibly the most important job - these people help buoy all those who have worked all day at this dual event!
