Sexual harassment and bullying will be the theme of a March 20 (Wednesday)
forum in the Berkeley High School Library from 7:00-9:00 pm. The forum is
for all BUSD parents who want to learn more about sexual harassment and
bullying (adult-to-student, student-to-student and cyber-based), especially
at the high school level. Learn more about your options in helping your
student manage this difficult aspect of student life. The BHS
Intervention Counselor will describe the types of harassing and bullying
behaviors that occur among BHS students. You will learn how Berkeley
High and the District handle incidents that are reported to them and the
BHS School Resource Officer will explain the role played by the Police
Department in responding to these situations.

Light refreshments provided. Childcare available if requested in advance to
BUSD Student Services (644-6316).

Related information is provided in the Sexual Harassment Overview in the
BUSD Parent-Student Handbook. See also BUSD's sexual harassment and
anti-bullying policies at the District's website, www.berkeleyschools.net,
or call BUSD Student Services at 644-6316.

Sponsored by the Berkeley Unified School District Sexual Harassment
Advisory Committee and the Berkeley High School Anti-bullying and
Harassment Subcommittee of the Safety Committee.
