PROM & STUDENTS WITH POOR ATTENDANCE:

This year BHS will bar students from prom if they have 30 or more unexcused
period absences. The count began on the first day of the second quarter,
and is cumulative up to prom itself. In February the attendance office sent
a letter home to all Seniors who had reached or were near the 30-period
mark. We'll send out a similar letter in a few weeks.

Students with 30+ absences who wish to attend prom can clear some of their
unexcused absences in three ways:

1. Attend Saturday School. To do so, sign up in the Attendance Office.
Space is limited.

2. Attend tutoring after school in the College Career Center, Mondays
through Thursdays. Sign up with Mr. Skeels in the CCC.

3. Sign up for one of the March community service projects sponsored by the
BHS Student Leadership. Sign up with Mr. Villavicencio in the leadership
office.

Parents, please note that students with 30+ unexcused absences who do not
clear them in time WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND PROM.
