Hello Parents & Teachers of Young Leaders,

BHS Leadership is in the middle of its current campaign, but we are already looking for the next great group of student leaders. There are elected positions available for ASB President, ASB Vice President, Chief of Social Activities, Chief of Service, and many more. We also offer class deputy positions that support the work of each grade-level team and commissioner positions that focus their efforts on a specific cause. There is even the opportunity to be our School Board Student Rep, work on the district budget, or a student could even suggest their own position.

The philosophy of Leadership will continue to promote a culture of positivity on campus and student leaders should be great examples of this attitude. Student leaders follow through on their commitments, are open to different points of view, and willing to work with others towards a common goal. Berkeley High is ever-evolving and it is important that we have the voice of the student included in the decision-making process while progressing through these changes. Student leaders will work with administrators, teachers, and community members during their tenure. Student Leaders are expected to attend one meeting weekly at lunch or before school, complete reflective assignments as well as participate in leadership-sponsored events on an ongoing basis. In exchange, they can receive up to 5 elective credits as well as endless good feelings from making positive change happen on campus.

Does this sound like a good fit for someone you know?

If yes, have them stop by the Leadership Office to pick up an application. We are accepting applications for elected positions until March 1 and unelected positions until May 8. Or just send me an email with name(s) and I will personally invite them to join the team.
