Dear Berkeley High Parents, Grandparents, Guardians, Caregivers,

James Patterson, best selling author and advocate for kids' reading, has
developed a website for adults who want to encourage the children in their
lives to read. He includes reading lists categorized by age, reviews, tips
to get kids reading, suggestions for educators, and more. Go to the home
page at: http://www.readkiddoread.com/. Even if the young people in your
lives are already avid readers, you will find suggestions for titles to get
at the library and even a chance to win free books. Enjoy!

For more suggestions of books for your high schooler, visit the Berkeley
High School Library blog at: http://bayareabibliophile.wordpress.com/. We
include reviews of titles from all genres that students can check out at the
library.
