Leadership is excited to be collaborating with PE Teachers, the Health Center, the City of Berkeley chronic disease prevention program, and the American Heart Association to celebrate Heart Fitness Week from Jan. 29 - Feb. 1. Heart Fitness Week will include many educational activities in the courtyard, a blood drive, and announcements to remind us to keep each of our hearts healthy. 

Heart Fitness Week activities from Jan. 29 - Feb. 1

• Tuesday: Heart Healthy Activities with HOSA students / American Heart Assoc. Fundraiser @ Senior Steps during lunch
• Wednesday : ZUMBA class sponsored by Health Center & the City of Berkeley will have chronic disease prevention info 
	~ Red Cross Blood Drive #3 : Sign-Up with rosslai at students.berkeley.net  or Mr. V
• Thursday: Basketball Tourney in Jacket Gym during lunch
• Friday: WEAR RED* to support the American Heart Association
	~ Heart Healthy Activities with HOSA students
	~ AMPS will host Heart Healthy Activities/Info 4th,5th,6th period
	~Black Student Union Fundraiser @ Senior Steps during lunch
	~ WEAR RED** @ Girls Basketball Games @ 5pm/7pm featuring the Pep Band, Cheerleaders, and more 


*Please consider supporting the AHA by purchasing a Heart for $1 or a Red Out t-shirt for $15. On sale all week
**The Wear Red game will raise awareness of this issue and bring support to the cause by having as many fans as possible wearing red to the game.
