*New to the bulletin today
ADMINISTRATION
1. The Holiday meal is rapidly approaching on December 15th. Thank you
Berkeley High for helping us to get off to a great start.
2. The Yearbook is on sale now for $70. On December 21st it will go up to
$85. Buy now afterschool on the Senior Steps or at yearbookordercenter.com.
The yearbook will sell out. This is the cheapest it will ever be!
*3. Attention Girls!! Are you interested in technology? Would you like to
learn about technology and business while solving a problem in your
community? If so, please see Ms. James in the Attendance Office by Friday
for information on Technovation Challenge. Would you like a chance for your
team to win $10,000 for development of your teams app? Come join and have
fun doing what you like to do.
CLUBS
*1. Red Cross Club is putting on a Spaghetti Feed this Monday. Pick-up a
plate of delicious spaghetti, a slice of garlic bread and a drink .. In the
C-gallery at lunch, Monday, December 17th. Thank you for supporting the Red
Cross club!
2. The BSU will be hosting a Kwanzaa dinner on December 21st during 4th
period. If you would like to bring food, there will be sign-up sheets in
Mr. Omwamba's room, Ms. Mitchell's room and Mama Washington's dance room.
If you would like to come but can't bring food, you will have to pay $2 for
food.
SPORTS
1. If you are interested in running, jumping, or throwing for BHS Track &
Field this year please come to one of three informational meetings this
Thursday December 13th. The meetings times and locations are: Lunch in H
307; 7th Period in H 307, or at 4:45 on the Track.
*2. The BHS Mountain Bike Team is looking for girls to participate on the
co-ed Mountain Bike team. Girls with any bike riding skills are welcome to
join. Girls are the POWER the BHS Mountain Bike Team needs to be a WINNER!!
(PE credit!) If you are interested in participating, please come to a lunch
time meeting at Mrs. Evy Kavaler's class room (G304) this Thursday Dec 13,
2012 . Please stop by and feel free to talk to the coaches about what
opportunities are available. If you have any questions please contact coach

EVENTS / PERFORMANCES
*1. Dance: Want to see what B-high is made of? Then come to the
African/Haitian Dance performance to celebrate the many faces of African,
Haitian, Modern ,Fusion, young gifted and black, hip hop, Aztec, Persian and
Ethiopian dance ;as well as spoken word and our BHS Jazz band. The world
will be brought to you on December 20, 2012 at 7pm in the Community Theater.
2. Recycled T-shirts: Learn how to cut, tie or paint an old t-shirt and turn
it into something fashionable. No sewing required! We'll provide supplies,
or bring your own. It's happening in the 3rd floor meeting room of the
Central Library right down the street. Thursday, December 13, 2012, 4 -
5:30pm.
3. $6 student tickets to see Inferno Theatre's Dracula, in Berkeley, for the
following dates: Dec. 6, 7, 9, 13, 14. Must have a student ID.
