Everyone is invited to the Academic Choice Fall Meeting, which will be held
on Thursday November 15 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the BHS library (building
A). This meeting is an opportunity for AC parents to hear about:

. curriculum and assessment plans for English, History, math and
Science

. how AC helps students to be successful

. why attendance is so important and how attendance is improving

. how to manage PE waivers

. how your donations help AC

. the AC advisory council budget

There is one open parent position on the Academic Choice Advisory Council
(ACAC). We will be electing this position at the AC Fall Meeting on
November 15. If you are interested in running please contact Francesca
Verdier, francesca.verdier at gmail.com.

We will also vote on proposed changes to the AC Team bylaws. There will be
plenty of time for your questions and answers as well.

Finally, if you are not yet subscribed to the Academic Choice etree, send an
email to academicchoice-request at lists.berkeleypta.org with one word only in
the subject line: "subscribe."

I hope to see many of you there on November 15.

Sincerely,

Francesca Verdier, ACAC Secretary and AC Parent
