ATTENTION SENIORS

*Senior Parent / Guardian College Night - Wednesday, Oct. 3, 6:30 pm in the BHS Library: Featuring representatives from private colleges. This is a great opportunity to get informed directly from admissions representatives from private colleges. This meeting is for parents/guardians only (no students) of BHS seniors.

*UC Personal Statement Writing Workshop for Seniors - Friday, Oct. 5, 10:40 am - College/Career Center: Seniors may attend this workshop with permission from your 3rd period teacher. You can obtain permission in the same way that you would for a college presentation, obtaining the approval signature on your college presentation permission slip. This workshop will be hosted by a UC Admissions representative.

College Essay Readers Available: Throughout the month of September,
we will have a college essay reader in the College/Career Center
during lunch. Beginning in October, we will have an essay reader
available in the College/Career Center before school (8:00am), during
lunch, and after school. Please consider utilizing this amazing
resource!

Advising Appointments for Seniors:

Each Monday morning, Ms. Price and Mr. Barton will open up an additional week of appointments for seniors to sign-up. The schedules fill up fast, so we recommend coming before first period if you’d like to secure an appointment time.

Seniors may also drop in any day at lunch or after school without an appointment to have shorter questions answered. College Advisor assignments:
Ms. Price – BIHS and AC students with last names L-Z.
Mr. Barton – AHA, AMPS, CAS, GRN and AC students with last names A-K.

COLLEGE VISITS:
Many college representatives visit Berkeley High’s College and Career Center every year. Seniors may attend up to 10 of these meetings, with the permission of the teacher whose class you are missing. Sign up in advance in the College and Career and pick up a permission slip. *The schedule of presentations will be updated throughout the fall, so please check our calendar frequently.
