Say "Good Morning" to 1960's Baltimore, where the 50's are out -- and change
is in the air!  Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion
for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny
Collins Show." Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen
celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the
program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true
love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her
hair?

 

Berkeley High School Drama Department's Hairspray is bound to delight with
an energetic mix of song, dance and story.  Come out for opening night, next
Friday April 20 at 7 p.m. in the Florence Schwimley Little Theater on the
BHS campus.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for students.  Advance tickets
can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets,

Hairspray continues through April 28, with performances 4/20, 4/21, 4/27 and
4/28 at 7 p.m. and a matinee performance Saturday, April 28 at 2 p.m.
