STUDENT DAILY BULLETIN

March 2, 2012

ADMINISTRATION

 

*1. BSEP meeting -this Monday, March 5th, 2012 at 4:30 pm- 7:30 pm.  All members please be present.  This is a very important meeting.

 

*2. Apply to be Business Manager for The Jacket! This is a great opportunity to gain leadership experience, take on new responsibility, and help The Jacket! Not to mention, it's a lot of fun! Being Business Manager means handling subscriptions and advertisements, mailing the Jacket, and learning how to fundraise!

 

3. Does it pay to go to class?  Yes it does!  The class with the best attendance for 2nd semester will win an exclusive event experience to a local movie theatre.  We will rent out the theater for the winning class to have fun together watching a popular film.

  

CLUBS

 

*1. Build On St. Patrick’s Day candy gram sale will start Next Monday, March 5th at lunch in the C-building gallery.  Buy your friend a candygram to show some green love.  All proceeds will go towards building a school in a developing country.

 

*2. Attention all clubs that wish to sell food or other items at the Service fair on March 7th!  Turn in your food sale sign up sheet to the leadership office as soon as possible to reserve a both at the fair.

 

SPORTS

 

*1. Follow the girls basketball team on their way to a state title.  Their next game is Friday, March 2 at 6:00 PM at St. Mary's College in Moraga vs. Deer Valley High School.  North Coast Section admission prices:  Adults: $9 and Students: $6 with student ID. Go Lady Jackets!

 

*2. The Fish Fry is scheduled for Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 1329 Derby Street, Berkeley, from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. People can come and PICK-UP their Dinners during that time.  Dinners are $12.00 for choice of Catfish/Sole, and includes Green Beans, Potato Salad, Slice of cake Bread. Soft Drinks for $1.  Tickets are available and we will give Senoli some tonite at the game.  As far as the Crabfeed check, you can make the money order out to the Berkeley Athletic Fund.  Thank you so much Nicole!!

 

EVENTS

 

*1. The BHS Lab Bands I and II will perform in concert on Wednesday March 14 at the BHS (Florence Schwimley) Little Theatre beginning at 7:00 pm!  Tickets are $10 (General Admission); BHS students and staff are free; other student tickets $3. Lots of snacks and drinks available for purchase.  Come out and enjoy the evening, hear great music, and support these talented musicians and BHS Jazz!! reply to berkeleyjazz at comcast.net
