Congratulations to Don Barksdale! 

 

Oakland's Don Barksdale, a basketball pioneer who was the NBA's first
African-American All-Star, was elected into the the Naismith Memorial
Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday.

Barksdale, a former Berkeley High star who in 1948 was the first
African-American to play on the U.S. Olympic basketball team and to win a
gold medal,
