The Academic Choice Advisory Council, or ACAC, is a group of teachers,
parents, students, and administrators who meet once a month to discuss the
present and future of Academic Choice.  Our next meeting is Tuesday January
17 from 4:00 to 5:30 PM at Berkeley High School, C Building, room C213.

 

The public is welcome to attend.  On the agenda:

 

- Public comments

- Set ACAC meeting dates for Feb-June 2012 

- Student input on AC commencement 2012 

- ACAC student recruiting and structure on ACAC. Should we separate those
who serve as ACAC Student Reps and those who represent AC in the BHS House
of Schools? 

- Parent support for the activities of Academic Support Coordinator Jessie
Luxford

- AC Resource Coordinator / BSEP proposal - strategize how to put the best
package together for our application.

- Plans for AC Information Night 

- New AC website development - budget and plans.  Improving the content of
the new BHS website AC page. 

- Live translation for public meetings - costs 

- Status updates: (1) Graphing calculators: who will coordinate buying them?
(2) Writing tutors in English classes. (3) AC Math and Science Night - who
will plan?  (4) Procedures for mailing progress reports.

- Approval of December ACAC minutes
