Hello Parents/Students/Staff-
The Spring 2012 PLAY session is starting January 25th and enrollment is
still open!
The Police and Life Academy for Youth (PLAY) provides an introduction to and
in-depth look at local criminal justice and law enforcement practices.
Starting, Wednesday, January 25 we will spend 11 sessions covering topics
such as:
. Emergency Preparedness / Build-a-kit
. Concepts of Criminal Justice Overview by Alameda District Attorney
. Individual Accountability and Civil Rights
. Basic Weaponless Defense and Color Code of Awareness
. As well as workshops on Crime Scene Investigation focusing on
fingerprinting, dispatch responsibilities and much more!
All classes meet at the Berkeley Police Department (2100 MLK Jr. Way) from
4-6 on Wednesdays unless otherwise noted.
There are only 10 spaces still available this semester so sign up today with
Mr. Skeels (CSP), Ms. Rodney (CPA), or contact Fele Uperesa with the
