Wouldn't you like to start the new year helping students succeed? This spring WriterCoach Connection will bring teams of writing coaches to 9th & 10th graders at Community Partnerships Academy/CPA and 12th graders at Green Academy. 

Your commitment of only 1-2 hours per week during the school day, once or twice per month (Thursdays or Fridays), supports teachers and is an effective and rewarding way to help students develop their ideas and become confident and competent writers. Coaching is also a terrific way to learn strategies for helping your own teen develop his/her skills. 

If you are interested, please register for one of the following two-part trainings through the website www.writercoachconnection.org  (under Volunteer): 

Berkeley

      BER7      Tuesdays        1/10 and 1/17    12:00-3:00 pm
      BER8      Thursdays       1/12 and 1/19     6:30-9:30  pm
      BER9      Fridays           1/20 and 1/27    12:00-3:00 pm
      BER10    Wednesdays   1/25 and 2/1       6:30-9:30 pm
      BER11    Thursdays       2/9 and 2/16     12:00-3:00 pm   

El Cerrito
      ELC5      Mondays         1/23 and 1/30    6:30-9:30 pm
      ELC6      Thursdays       1/26 and 2/2      12:00-3:00 pm 

Oakland
      OAK6     Wednesdays   1/18 and 1/25     6:00-9:00 pm
      OAK7     Mondays        1/23 and 1/30     3:45-6:45 pm
